5 operating theatres for the LMU Klinikum Innenstadt in Munich
Five operating theatres (picture: with central green light) in the new interdisciplinary LMU clinic in the inner city of Munich have been completed.
In the immediate vicinity of the listed building of the medical hospital of the LMU clinics the new building of the interdisciplinary inner-city clinic (with the project name Portal Clinic) was constructed over a period of several years at the corner of Ziemssenstraße and Nußbaumstraße in Munich, and was both functionally and logistically connected to the old LMU buildings. The main entrance with the central entrance hall is located in a glass connecting building acting as link between the new and old buildings across all levels.
Marchhart installed air filtering components in a total of five operating theatres, laboratories, and intensive care rooms: these installations included fluff separators as well as two H1a room class operating theatres were equipped with laminar flow supply-air ceilings, the other three H1b room class theatres – with HEPA filter outlets. LED recessed lights are used as ambient lighting in the operating theatres, including a central green light as additional equipment. For optimal air flow control in the laminar flow supply-air ceilings, glass flow aprons with aluminium profiles were finely framed. The HEPA filter housings were not only installed in the H1b room class operating theatres but also in the laboratories and intensive care rooms. All are designed with swirl diffusers, seven swirl diffuser elements have been manufactured in special powder coated design for installation in a heavy-load ceiling.

65 HEPA filter outlets, of which four units are ZL-P-03 with DA 350-11 swirl diffuser; 26 units are ZL-P-04 with DA 500-24 swirl diffuser and 35 are ZL-P-05 with DA 625-44 swirl diffuser.
Eight V2A fluff separators with rectangular plenum for ceiling installation, 2x connection from above and 6x connection from the side.
Seven swirl diffuser elements “Sonder” (special) DA 600-44, RAL 9010 powder-coated for installation in the heavy-load ceiling.
