Clean room – a fresh approach with the Marchhart recirculated air ceiling

|   Air filter technology

Clean air has the absolute top priority in clean rooms where the air is to satisfy highest hygienic demands and occupational psychology requirements.

Here we are talking about clean rooms such as operating theatres, instrument prep zones or recovery rooms. To this end we offer innovative solutions such as Marchhart LAF recirculated air ceilings, which are in worldwide use.
These LAF recirculated air ceilings create a stable protective zone and highest possible levels of safety and air quality for patients and the surgical team as well as instruments. Of course, the LAF operating theatre ceiling also improves protection against penetrating contaminations with airborne particles and germs as well as reduces the risk of postoperative infections.

Our reference projects from 2018 include three hospitals where LAF recirculated air ceilings were installed:
RKA-Campus Rhön Klinikum Bad Neustadt,
Alexianer St. Hedwig-Krankenhaus in Berlin and
Asklepios Nordseeklinik Sylt.

On the island of Sylt the LAF recirculated air ceiling in one of the two operating theatres has complied with the protection level test for H1a room class despite confined space conditions resulting in a reduced size of 2.41 x 2.81m; despite the fact that this recirculated air ceiling did not comply with the at the time valid DIN 1946-4 2008-12 standard (defining LAF recirculated air ceiling size at 3.2 x 3.2m) to satisfy the H1a room class requirements. This is indeed quite a masterpiece.
