Inclined screen with sandwich cladding for radiation protection at the evangelic clinic Niederrhein Duisburg-Nord

|   Air filter technology

We are also the ideal partner for provision of special solutions such as at the evangelical clinic Niederrhein Duisburg-Nord.

We have already completed several special requirements projects together with the Berns company; this was the reason for the project manager responsible for restructuring of a digital substraction angiography (DSA) (left heart catheterisation measuring station) room at the evangelical clinic Niederrhein Duisburg-Nord to contact us again.  This time they required special inclined screen systems with a mixing duct for fresh air respectively recirculated air proportion behind them, as well as a recirculated air wall module. Operations continued while this DSA room was reconstructed in the heart of the clinic.

Since Berns was only able to provide the fresh air volume of 1,250 m³/h prescribed by the DIN 1946-4 2008-12 standard for H1b room class, an additional recirculated air wall module with cooling was planned due to the room size to support respectively increase the air volume. During the planning and implementation phase the medical team repeatedly expressed new requests regarding the room geometries. These changes to the original plan resulted in the necessity of installing one of the two inclined screen systems in the partition wall to the control room. This inclined screen was made as with a sandwich construction cladding including lead screening so that radiation protection remains intact.
